Grammy-nominated flutist Karen Kevra and pianist Jeffrey Chappell perform a program of exquisite French repertoire featuring audience participation. The first half of the program is Michel Blavet’s Sonata ”L’Henriette”, Francis Poulenc’s Sonata, and a composition by Karen’s mentor, Louis Moyse. At intermission everyone will receive a ballot listing the ten works from Moyse’s world-famous anthology Flute Music by French Composers with descriptions of pieces by Gabriel Fauré, Cécile Chaminade, and others. Audience members then vote for the pieces they would like to hear on the second half of the program.
