Jeffrey Chappell will present a program tracing the connections between classical music and jazz including works by Chopin, Ravel, Chappell, and Jay McShann, as well as his own jazz tune arrangements and free improvisation. He will be joined by Judy Bridewell Biondini in his original composition “Two For Two” (two pieces for two pianos); an arrangement for two pianos of Gershwin’s “Three Preludes”; and Poulenc’s Sonata for Piano Four Hands (at two pianos).
