This concert, called “Muse Music”, features music inspired by magic, poetry, myth, and story-telling. Jeffrey Chappell will perform Ravel’s “Gaspard de la Nuit” for piano solo, as well as the Vermont premiere of his own composition, “Aphrodite” for flute and piano with Karen Kevra. The other works on the program use piano, voice, flute, and bass in different combinations in music by Debussy, Jolivet, Gaubert, and Premo.
