This concert features music inspired by poetry. Jeffrey Chappell will perform Handel’s “The Harmonious Blacksmith” and Liszt’s “Concert Paraphrase on the Waltz from Gounod’s ‘Faust’ ”, as well as works on the program using piano, voice, flute, and bass in different combinations in music by Debussy, Frank Martin, and Evan Premo.
