Jeffrey Chappell will perform the Second Sonata for flute and piano by Louis Moyse with flutist Karen Kevra as well as the Polka in D Major for solo piano by Bohuslav Martinu in a memorial concert for the legendary flutist, musician, and pedagogue Louis Moyse. The program features numerous Vermont musicians associated with Moyse, including the vocal group Counterpoint directed by Robert De Cormier, mezzo-soprano Wendy Hoffman Farrell, and pianists Mary Jane Austin-Reynolds, Diane Huling and Paul Orgel, with works by Mozart, Beethoven, Berlioz, Debussy, and others.
